Wakefield Savings Bank Branch Robbed
Armed robbery reported at Lakeside branch

WAKEFIELD, MA - The Savings Bank Lakeside branch at 599 North Avenue was robbed on July 22, 2023, at approximately 10:00 AM. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build and short brown hair. He was wearing a black mask, a black hoodie, and blue jeans. The suspect entered the bank and brandished a handgun. He demanded money from the tellers, and they complied. The suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Wakefield Police Department is currently investigating the robbery. No arrests have been made at this time.
The Savings Bank Lakeside branch is located in the Greenwood district of Wakefield, Massachusetts. The branch has been serving the community for over 50 years.
